RF-5301 Fluorescence Spectrophotometer
RF-5301 | Fluorescence Spectrophotometer

From routine analysis to research, employing the highest level of sensitivity in the world!

Cat. No. SZ-220-92331-20

The essence of fluorescence analysis is sensitivity. With a high-throughput optical system that employs a blazed holographic grating, photomultiplier and digital signal processing, the RF-5301PC provides the highest level S/N ratio attainable, making it ideal for applications in such areas as pharmaceuticals and pharmacology, food science, biochemistry, and environmental monitoring.

Features

High-speed Scanning
Measure a spectrum in seconds with high-speed scanning up to 5,500 nm/min. And since monochromator slewing is about 20,000nm/min, setting of two or more wavelengths can be performed quickly and easily.

High Resolution and Extended Range
The bandpass can be set as narrow as 1.5nm, enabling users to distinguish fluorescent peaks from the background emission. The wavelength range of 220 to 750nm can be extended to 900nm.

Vertical Optics with Dynode Feedback
Assures a high S/N ratio, and enables analysis using very small sample volumes. The dynode feedback enhances performance by raising or lowering negative high voltage to the detector in response to different wavelengths.

Built-In Performance Checks
Operating conditions are automatically verified, and other features help maintain the instrument in its optimum condition.

Automatic Shutter
When measurement ceases, the automatic shutter closes immediately, protecting the sample from photo-decomposition.

Software

Meeting all your fluorescence research needs, from teaching to method development and quality assurance, Shimadzu’s Windows-based software makes operation intuitive for beginners and experienced users alike. The software offers powerful data processing functions, one-touch operation, onscreen data manipulation features, easy & convenient report generation, and the following measurement modes:

  • Quantitative Measurement Mode
  • Spectrum Measurement Mode
  • Time Course Measurement Mode
