A highly functional rugged centrifuge, the Multifuge® 1 offers high-volume processes, a choice between two user interfaces, and quiet operation. The unit is ideal for applications involving medical clinical diagnostics, cell culture, molecular biology, chemical analysis and pharmaceutical research

The Multifuge 1 features 1.6 liter capacity for high-volume processing. Ideal for every day use in all research and routine laboratories, the Multifuge 1 is available in a non-refrigerated or refrigerated model. You can also choose between two operation interfaces: a rotary switch control or a soft touch keypad. Both versions have a LED display that can be read easily, even at a distance.

The EASYset Soft Touch Keypad offers a four-program memory for standard runs, RCF programmability, Pre-temp function for fast pre-cooling, and nine braking and acceleration profiles with a continuous, easy-to-clean surface. SMARTspin™, the patented imbalance detection system, provides optimum run stability for all rotors at all speeds, and allows samples to be balanced by eye alone.

The Multifuge 1 achieves an extremely high imbalance tolerance due to the decoupled arrangement of the drive and casing. The newly designed base construction (patent pending) permits extremely quiet operation.

At less than 32 cm (12.6 inch), the height of the Multifuge 1 is extremely low and allows for comfortable loading and unloading. With the optional trolley, the Multifuge 1 can be used either as a space-saving kneewell instrument or as a portable tabletop instrument at an ergonomic user height.

The unit’s rotors and buckets assemblies can be closed with aerosol tight lids and are autoclavable. They have been independently tested by CAMR, Porton Down, UK.
