ElectroSNAP™ is a proprietary acrylamide buffer blend that is an extremely convenient solution to everyday Poly Acrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE) of small size DNA and RNA (>20 bp).

DNA MicroMarker™(cat. no. AMR-E840) was separated on an 8% ElectroSNAP gel (Lanes 1-3). 30-mer DNA was run in Lanes 5-7 and 21-mer DNA was separated in Lanes 8-10. The gels were subsequently stained with ethidium bromide.

ElectroSNAP™ is mainly used in the preparation of polyacrylamide gels, which can then be used in routine analysis of PCR products, for monitoring Nuclease and Ligase reactions, and for the chemical modification of oligos, analysis and small scale purification of nucleotide from mixtures of oligonucleotides. It can also be used to monitor the purity and breakdown of DNA labeled and unlabelled primers, probes, etc.
Typically, Tris-Borate-EDTA (TBE) is the commonly used buffer for nucleic acid analysis. ElectroSNAP™ is specially formulated to resolve even smaller oligos and nucleic acid fragments using lower concentrations of polyacrylamide gels.
