VYDAC^® 302IC is a low capacity quaternary amine anion-exchange material based on a high purity 10 µm, large-pore silica. This was one of the first ion-exchange materials designed for “non-suppressed” ion chromatography and has been used in the analysis of a wide variety of samples including:

• selenium in soils
• consumer products
• air samples
• anions in explosives
• anions in water

Nucleotide Analysis

Nucleotides can be analyzed on a VYDAC^® 302IC4.6 column. The column separates organic ions by a mixture of ionic and hydrophobic (reversed-phase) interactions.

The nucleotide separation is performed with a mobile phase that contains no organic solvent, thus simplifying disposal. Instead, the acetic acid used for pH adjustment takes the place of the organic solvent in facilitating the reversed-phase portion of the mixed-mode separation.
