The Sunrise™ horizontal gel electrophoresis family offers four different gel formats from 5.7 x 8.3 cm up to 24 x 24 cm for standard applications as well as high throughput separation of nucleic acids in submerged agarose gels.

Sunrise™ 192 is the high throughput version based on the buffer chamber and gel tray of the Sunrise 24.24. The apparatus comes with 4 microtiter plate / multichannel pipette compatible combs that allow 2 complete microtiter plates, 192 samples and additional 16 markers (total of 208 samples) to be run simultaneously on one agarose gel.

For leak resistance the buffer chamber is a moulded one-piece unit. The buffer tank is made of clear polycarbonate to permit easy viewing of buffer level above the gel. The removable well-visualisation guide makes it much easier to see slots while loading the sample. Fast plug-on silicone gel casting clamps permit easy casting of gels without the use of tape. The detachable safety lid with top-mounted power cords prevents electrical connections from being made until the lid is properly in place.
