Hybridization Bags

Cat. No.:  KP-60-00-51 Size: 50 bags

DESCRIPTION
Hybridization Bags are 8 X 10 inch, 4 mil thick, clear polyethylene bags. They are heat-sealable, resistant to temperatures up to at least 65oC, and do not curl when cut.

STORAGE/STABILITY
Store at room temperature. Stable for a minimum of 1 year from date of receipt at room temperature.

APPLICATIONS
Hybridization Bags are used for membrane incubation steps in protocols such as Southern, Northern, and Western blotting; dot blotting; and colony and plaque hybridizations. Applications include nucleic acid hybridizations and washes, antibody and conjugate incubations, chemiluminescent substrate incubations, and covering membranes prior to X-ray film exposure.

USE
Place membrane in the bag by slipping it through the opening or by cutting the bag. Seal three sides of the bag surrounding the membrane with a heat sealer. Add liquid, remove all bubbles and seal the 4th side of the bag. Gently squeeze the bag to determine if there are any leaks.
