4 CN Peroxidase Membrane Substrate is a reliable substrate for detection of membrane-bound proteins. 4 CM (4-chloro-1-napthol) produces a purple precipitate at the reaction site in the presence of peroxidase-labeled conjugates. It is optimized for use in membrane assays and dot blots. Due to its characteristic low background, 4 CN presents a more desirable alternative to other, more sensitive substrates where background may present a problem. 4 CN is available as a 2-component system.
