BluePhos®, a soluble, proprietary form of BCIP (5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl phosphate), an ideal substrate for use with alkaline phosphatase-labeled conjugates. In the presence of phosphatase, BluePhos® develops and intense blue color, measurable at 595-650nm, which enables quantitative measurement. The reaction is stopped with BluePhos® Stop Solution, a 2.5% EDTA solution. BluePhos® can be used for both kinetic and endpoint determinations. BluePhos® is available as a 2-component liquid system for quick and easy mixing.
