LumiGlo

Non-isotopic, luminol-based chemiluminescent substrate designed for the rapid and sensitive detection of peroxidase labeled-conjugates. It provides increased sensitivity over chromogenic substrates in both blotting and ELISA applications. In blotting applications, permanent results are recorded on X-ray film. The use of LumiGLO allows for multiple stripping and reprobing of blots. In ELISA, positive reactions are read and rapidly detected using a luminometer. LumiGLO provides a dynamic range that is linear for a longer period of time than other chemiluminescent substrates. 2-Component format, simply mix and use. Safe to use: non-hazardous.

LumiGlo Reserve

LumiGLO Reserve TM is a non-isotopic, luminol-based chemiluminescent substrate designed for the rapid and sensitive detection of peroxidase labeled-conjugates.  Provides maximum sensitivity in blotting applications by allowing detection in the femtogram range.  Ideal for those situations where the protein of interest is expressed in low abundance.  Strong signal is achieved with the use of reduced amounts of precious target and antibodies.  Provides a dynamic range that is linear for a longer period which easily allows for multiple exposures. 2-Component format, simply mix and use.

Sensitivity comparison using LumiGLO Reserve, ECL Plus TM and LumiGLO. Two-fold serial dilutions of purified B-galactosidase (10 ng - 156 pg) were separated by SDS PAGE (4-20%) and transferred to PVDF. Antigen was detected using mouse anti-B-galactosidase primary (1:1000 of 0.1 mg stock) and HRP-labeled goat anti-mouse antibody (1:10,000 of 0.1 mg/mL stock) under identical blocking and washing conditions. Signal was detected using each respective substrate: A) LumiGLO Reserve, B) ECL Plus, and C) LumiGLO. Film was exposed for 10 minutes and analyzed for sensitivity and signal-to-noise.
