HistoMark® X-Gal is the most common chromogenic substrate for use with E.coli derived β-galactosidase. HistoMark® X-Gal produces a specific, brilliant blue stain in the presence of β-galactosidase in immunohistochemical procedures. Sections reacted with HistoMark® X-Gal can be mounted in either aqueous mounting media for permanent documentation. HistoMark® X-Gal kits offer proven performance in detection of extremely small quantities of antigen.
