Apollo Absorbance Readers
Apollo Absorbance Readers

Apollo, the dedicated family of absorbance readers from BERTHOLD TECHNOLOGIES, have been designed without compromise to meet the needs of researchers in all fields like clinical, veterinary, environmental and food applications.

Cat. No. BT-43211-10/12 (LB 911), BT-43202 (LB 912)

Apollo-1 LB 911

The Apollo-1 is a microprocessor controlled 1-channel microplate photometer designed to measure the optical density of liquid in the wells of microplates, completing the reader family of BERTHOLD TECHNOLOGIES. The wide range of usable plate types in combination with powerful Windows ® data reduction programs and the excellent optical specifications make the Apollo-1 a true universal microplate reader. This front loading reader is very robotic friendly.

Features:

Wide range of plate formats
Any microplate format from 12 to 384-well can be measured according to instrument version

High performance
Wide measurement range up to 3.6 OD combined with self-calibration and self-check guaranty best test results

Robotic friendly design
Low profile self-centering plate carrier and front loading provide easy automation

Apollo-8 LB 912

The Apollo-8 is a microprocessor controlled 8-channel microplate photometer designed to measure the optical density of liquid in the wells of 96 well microplates, completing the reader family of BERTHOLD TECHNOLOGIES. The very robust design and the use of industrial grade components make the Apollo-8 the ideal instrument for demanding high throughput applications. An improved high-speed communication protocol enables the rapid data transfer to the controlling computer. Easy synchronization with robotic systems LB 930 Butler is ensured by an additional software package.

Features:

Digital light control system
Extra long-time stability
Automatic self check and self-calibration prior to measurement
No re-adjustment during lifetime
Digital technology reduces component count and increases MTBF ( Mean Time Between Failures)

Robotic friendly design
Low profile, self-centering plate carrier and front loading guarantee easy automation

Positive filter detection
Incorrectly inserted filters are detected immediately to prevent false results.

Lamp prefailure warning No more unexpected stops during important test series

Integral shaking

Programmable measurement positions Optimum adaptation to different plate dimensions

Light-tight reading chamber Avoids influence of extraneous light

Built with industrial grade components
Long lifetime even under very high throughput conditions like HTS labs
